Last weekend, 4th & 5th October, Wattisfield Chapel held a Harvest Flower Festival, to raise money for the Charity R.A.B.I (Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution) which helps farming families through financial difficulties and over £700 will be sent to them.
The Chapel was beautifully decorated by the ‘Flower Arranging Fairies’, who meet at the church every week, and all of the arrangements were Harvest themed: Harvest of the Sea, Hedgerow, Garden, Land and The Church, represented by bread and wine.
This event was open to the village and cream teas were served on Saturday and a soup, roll & crumble lunch after the service on Sunday. Rev’d Ian Fosten led a wonderful harvest celebration to a full church and a wonderful weekend was enjoyed by everyone.
