Season of Creation 2025

The Season of Creation, from 1 September to 4 October, is an annual, ecumenical celebration of prayer and action for creation. During this time, churches are encouraged to have a focus on creation, with all the joys and responsibilities that being part of God’s creation brings to us. This year’s theme is “Peace with Creation.”

Coinciding with the time of year when many of us traditionally hold Harvest celebrations, the resources for the Season of Creation can be very helpful in planning worship.

Available now, the Celebration Guide can be downloaded at https://seasonofcreation.org/ .

Other very useful resources and events freely available include:

  • Service plans, sermons, prayers and videos from Eco Congregation Scotland (curated by URC Minister Rev David Coleman): https://www.ecocongregationscotland.org/creation-2025/
  • Resources from the Joint Public Issues Team: https://jpit.uk/creation
  • A Rocha UK will be running a webinar on the 2nd September reflecting on this year’s theme as well as ideas for the season. They will also be posting regular updates throughout the season: https://arocha.org.uk/the-season-of-creation-2025-peace-with-creation/
