Wroxham and Hoveton URC in Norfolk have just gained their A Rocha Silver Eco-Church award.

We have a team of ‘Eco Warriors’ who have committed to making our church as eco-friendly as possible. Each month our magazine has hints and tips to help all of us to apply these principles at the church and in our homes. Plus relevant articles and web sites. We have been fortunate to have a lovely gentleman use reclaimed wood to make bird boxes, bug hotels, hedgehog homes etc which he has sold for our Eco Fund. With this we have been able to buy bike racks, grit bins, recycling containers etc. We had a successful eco- themed service last year and plan to do this regularly to keep this vital commitment to caring for God’s wonderful world at the forefront of our congregation’s mind.
