Hi, my name is Edward Land. I will be the new Mission Practitioner (Training) for the URC Eastern Synod from 7th July.

I have been an ordained minister in the Church of England for the last ten years. During that time I have gained experience of leading and pioneering mission in different contexts (rural, sub-urban, urban) in Norfolk and Suffolk. 

Before that I was a Youth Minister and a High School PE teacher. 

I am really looking forward to being part of the Eastern Synod team. I am passionate about encouraging local churches to reach out to their communities with the gospel. I look forward to coming alongside churches in the Synod to help them with mission initiatives and to become more confident in sharing their faith.

I am married to Heather and have two  boys aged 9 and 11. I am a qualified Tennis coach and lead some sessions at my local club. I am also a keen surfer and have been surfing around the East Anglian coast for the last thirty years.
