Lent Resource – Ripple Effect

This Lent, will you join Ripple Effect to pray for families living on the frontline of the climate crisis?

Would you like to be part of a wave of change in rural Africa? Then please do join the Ripple Effect team for our virtual prayer meeting on Wednesday 5 March, 9.15-10am. You will hear from Winnie Mailu, Head of Thematic Support, Kenya, about the climate crisis in rural Africa. You’ll also be able to join Ripple Effect chaplain, Debbie Pow, as she leads a time of prayer. Register here

If you are unable to come but would still like to pray for families living on the frontline of the climate crisis, please do use our Lent resources. You can download everything you need to set up a prayer station in your church or host a Lent lunch. There’s loads of information, including a video of Meshark Sikiku, our sustainability manager, speaking about the challenges families are experiencing in rural Africa.

What a great way to show love to our neighbours across the globe this Lent!

Please do get in touch with me if you would like any further information: ann.hatton@rippleeffect.org

The Ripple Effect charity was established in the UK by Christian dairy farmers in 1988 who wanted to use their skills to support communities in the African continent (it was originally called ‘Send a cow’!) but is still at work today empowering families in rural Africa to learn more, grow more and sell more, transforming their lives while protecting their environment. Families share what they know and have with their neighbours and wider communities, so that for each family they work with directly we know that three more will benefit. This is the ripple effect of their work and our support.
