Lorna Woor, who serves as an Elder of Fulbourn United Reformed Church has been in recognised by His Majesty in the 2024 New Year’s Honours list. ‘For services to the community in Cambridge’, Mrs Lorna Woor receives the British Empire Medal.

A retired nurse, Lorna has worked tirelessly for the good of others, and for the nurturing of community cohesion in Fulbourn, with commitments that include the Royal British Legion and the British Red Cross, as well as the URC.

Revd Nigel Uden, Minister for Fulbourn URC says ‘ Lorna is the most unassuming of people, with a readily helping hand and a warm smile.’
