Sunday 4 May 6am – 8am

Dawn Chorus Walk – Improve your bird identification skills with Sarah & reward yourself with coffee and a croissant. Places limited, please book in advance.

Saturday 10 May 10.30am – 3.30pm

A Rocha UK Supporters’ Day  – To include updates on reserve projects, guided walk, a practical activity, finishing with a short time of worship outdoors.  A great time to meet other supporters and encounter wildlife.  Bring a chair and lunch.  All welcome.  Please book so we can anticipate numbers.

Thursday 29 May 7.30pm (bring your own picnic at 6.30pm)

Ascension Day Prayer Walk – Led by Rev. Ruth Ridge.  Enjoy a picnic together then walk and pray together as the sun sets.  A beautiful, reflective evening for all.

Open Air Service – An open invitation to join us at midsummer in worship close to nature. Guest speaker Dr Andrew Crowson, moth enthusiast and supporter of A Rocha UK. Bring a chair.  With refreshments.  All welcome.

Big Bug Day – Free family event celebrating National Insect Week, with activities for all.  Join in bug hunts, see moths up close, shake a bush, search for beetles, come along and take part. Contact Sarah if you’d like to help with this event.  Bring a picnic.

Meadow cutting & raking 1 – Join our Friday Volunteers to help scythe or rake our grassland.  Scythers welcome.  Bring lunch, drink, sunhat.  Stay for as long as you like.  Contact Sarah if you’re coming so we have enough tools!  All welcome.

Wednesday 1 October 6.30pm – 9pm

Bats about Moths! – Discover moths up close and hear hunting bats. Led by bat expert Graham Hart and Sarah on moths.  Use bat detectors to find bats and learn about the moths we attract using a moth trap and light.  Limited places.  Book in advance.

FRIDAY VOLUNTEER GROUP:  We carry out practical jobs on the reserve meeting most Fridays at 10am in the car park.  Come and join us.  Contact Sarah for details.
