On Monday, 27th July I ventured over to Frinton Greensward for an event entitled ‘An Evening with John and George Moncur’. They are father and son, former professional footballers who played for several top London teams and also Colchester United. They spoke movingly about their Christian faith and how this affected  their relationships with team mates, managers and the fans. They both spoke positively about their experience with the Alpha Course.

They were ‘interviewed’ by Mark Massey from Frinton Free Church and there was a question and answer session at the end in which i plucked up courage and asked a question!

This was a well attended Frinton Mission event which also included an enjoyable hog roast. It reminded me that the Mission week always includes interesting and thought provoking events. 

I intend to look out for next year’s Mission dates. You may want to do the same.
