Theology Day Whittlesford

Whittlesford URC 36 Duxford Road

A day for Ministers, retired ministers, and lay people to talk theology and share ideas. All are welcome. This day will focus on the book ‘Cancer and the Cross’ By Chris Kemshell – minister in this Synod. The day will start with Chris giving us a talk followed by a discussion with a break for lunch. Worship Resourcing Day

Sawston Free Church 1 High St, Sawston, Cambridge

How to lead worship when no-one wants to lead. A basic primer on what to do when you can’t find someone to lead worship. Including: Using the URC prerecorded service Finding prayers online Creative alternatives to a sermon Including younger worshipers Finding music when there’s no musician   The day will be facilitated by the Eastern Synod Moderator, CYDO and MTO.

Modern Slavery and Church Responses

Westminster College Madingley Road, Cambridge, United Kingdom

This in-person and online conference will equip churches and ordinands to know about modern slavery and human trafficking in their contexts; to identify people at risk, and to safeguard. With contributions from The Together Free Foundation and Churches Together in Cambridgeshire.
